Time And The River
He loved freedom and
The wild things of the Earth
He visited the whales and
Was nurtured by their
Singular oneness with the sea
He went to the lake and
Breathed in the placidity of
It's essence
He heard things that
Communed with him only
He journeyed to the river and
Was awed by stinging
Rock - Tossed spray and
Shimmering pool in
The oxbow bend
Now - He is the river
Endless - no beginning
No end
Carrying us along
In concert with him
We - Creatures of this Earth
We - Made more complete
